1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including: your name, email address, and password when you create an account; athlete names, contact information, and session data you enter into the Service; voice recordings you submit for transcription; and billing information processed through our payment provider.

We also collect information automatically, including: device information (browser type, operating system); usage data (pages visited, features used, session duration); IP address and approximate location; and cookies and similar tracking technologies for analytics and service improvement.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process voice recordings and generate AI-powered session recaps; send emails on your behalf to recipients you designate; process payments and manage subscriptions; analyze usage patterns to improve the product; communicate with you about service updates; and detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers for authentication and data storage, payment processing, audio transcription and AI-generated text, email delivery, and application hosting. We may also use analytics services to understand how the Service is used.

These providers have their own privacy policies and may process your data according to their terms. We only share the minimum data necessary for each provider to perform its function.

4. Voice Recordings and AI Processing

Voice recordings you submit are sent to third-party AI services for transcription. The transcribed text is then processed to generate session recaps. We store your recordings and transcriptions to provide the Service. We do not use your recordings or transcriptions to train AI models. You may delete your recordings and associated data at any time through the Service.

5. Emails Sent on Your Behalf

When you send a session recap through the Service, the email is sent from our email infrastructure on your behalf to the recipients you specify. We store records of sent emails for your reference. We do not use recipient email addresses for any purpose other than delivering the emails you initiate.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data. We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service. This data helps us improve the product and user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect the functionality of the Service.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict processing of your data; request portability of your data; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Athlete data entered by coaches (such as names) is the responsibility of the coach and should comply with applicable laws regarding minors' information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us at hello@squints.ai so we can delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
